Co-curricular Activities

Curricular activities are organized as part of the overall program of the Academy. It is an activity engaged in by students aimed at complementing / enhancing academic work in order to get a balanced education. They are designed to meet the physical, social, and intellectual development of minds of the students. 

The activities are embedded in :

A.    Clubs and Societies: Students in the academy are expected to voluntarily belong to social and academic groups such as :     

I)     JETS Club

II)     Press Club, and Readers’ Club and any other club that may be established in the Academy.

III)    OSCA mathematicians

IV)    Quiz and Elocution Groups (A literary and debating activities) :- This is compulsory for all students. Students are divided into four groups of their sport competition. These groups are: 

i)    Albert Einstein group

ii)    Newton group

iii)    Chike Obi group

iv)    Aristotle group

B)    Games and Sports

Every student in the Academy is expected to engage in any of the available sporting activities. Indoor games such as chess and outdoor games facilities such as football, table tennis, volleyball, and badminton are provided. However, the following should be noted about games and sports:

i)    Sport equipment and facilities are to be handled with deserved care

ii)    Decorum should be maintained during sporting activities or indoor games. 

iii)    Motivation shall be done by done by clapping

iv)    There should be no booing, abuse or assault of any participant to any sporting event or indoor games.
